I'm so excited to share photos of baby Carter - 4 days old on Saturday. He's absolutely beautiful and sweet, and he definitely doesn't want to miss a thing. Can you believe that he was awake nearly the entire time of our marathon 4 hour session? (Most of the time was spent with mom nursing Carter and trying to get him to sleep). Oh how I wanted to capture these sweet sleepy images....luckily, he gave in at the very end. So, without further ado, here's Carter....
Mini Senior Session - Franklin High School, Class of 2011 {Livonia, MI and Northville, MI Senior portrait photographer}
It may be really cold outside, but we were able to capture some nice indoor senior photos this week during Michael's mini senior session. Mike, I hope you enjoy your last semester of high school, and good luck at Kettering!
Welcome 2011! {Southeast Michigan portrait photographer}
It's true, we're already 13 days into 2011, and I obviously have been slacking off a bit on this blog. What can I say? January always seems to be so busy, especially as we get back into the routine of life after the holidays. I have a lot of wonderful things in store for Christine Long Photography in 2011 - new products, services and fun and creative ideas for sessions, both indoors and out. As you can see, I'm in the process of revamping the blog...I hope you enjoy the new look. I'll also be updating my website in the next month to reflect some of the new offerings and changes.
In addition to sharing photographs from sessions throughout the year, I'm planning to start a new weekly blog series about memories - namely, my family's memories. To start with, I've photographed the gift my dad shared with me this Christmas - my great grandmother's vanity set. (This was also an experiment with my new camera and macro lens, which I can't wait to use to photograph itty bitty baby fingers and toes!) While I treasure the hammered silver and monograms, I especially love the scratches and indentations - proof of life and use for over 3 generations! The last image is of the wedding ring set I wear daily - again, a family heirloom, worn first by my great grandmother.
I can't wait to share more memories with you, many of which will stem from my grandfather's old medium-format negatives, a treasure that I now hold dear. I'm looking forward to scanning and processing these negatives this year - providing new life to memories from the 1950s
