Claire Adeline - 10 days old {Northville, MI, Southeast, MI, Metro Detroit Newborn photographer}

I'm so excited to share a few photographs of my little peanut - Claire!  She's now 3 weeks old, which is so hard to believe!  I took most of these photos when she was 10 days old in order to take advantage of her still being very sleepy and curled up.  I know I'm incredibly biased, but I love the photographs of this beautiful little baby.  There's something so special, sweet, and innocent about newborns, and while it takes a little longer to get the desired images during the session, it's completely worth all of the effort.  I know I'll be treasuring these images forever.  Can't wait to add a canvas to my wall gallery :)

This one melts my heart as a mom - I'm completely in love with the way my 21 month old son is looking at his new baby sister.  So sweet!!

My little peanut at 9 days old!  I took this photo yesterday and am just starting to edit the photos from Claire's first mini-session!  Can't wait to share many more soon :)

Our newest arrival! {Northville, MI and Novi, MI newborn and family photographer}

There was no waiting for her December due date with this one!  Our newest addition decided she needed to be here by Thanksgiving - and what a blessed and happy Thanksgiving it will be for our family!!

We welcomed Claire Adeline Long last Wednesday, November 16th.  I can't believe she's already almost 7 days old!!  Here are a few of Claire's first photographs while we were recovering at the hospital, plus a few of Sophie and Graham meeting their new little sister.  I can't wait to do Claire's proper newborn session this weekend!!  

Family Fun in the Leaves! {Northville, MI Family and Children's Portrait Photographer}

I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable family a couple weeks ago.  We lucked out with a bright, but chilly morning, with lots of leaves on the ground!  I absolutely loved meeting and working with this family.  The relationship between brother and sister was so sweet and genuine.  I hope my kids have a similar relationship as they get older!!  I hope you enjoy this sneak peek, Mom and Dad.  I can't wait to share the whole session with you during tomorrow's Session Premiere!!

Beautiful Mother and Daughter! {Northville, MI, Novi, MI Family and Children's Portrait Photographer}

I love my job... I love photographing relationships and capturing what makes a family so special and unique.  A few weeks ago, I headed out to the botanical gardens with this mother and daughter.  They started off the session dressed in traditional saris, and the results are stunning!  The colorful saris, beading, and scarves were perfect against the garden backdrop and late evening light.  Take a peek of this special and beautiful session!!

I am always a sucker for little guys in newsboy caps, so when this family arrived at their session with perfectly coordinated fall outfits and an adorable brown hat for little "A," I knew the session was off to a good start.  Add in some dreamy, hazy fall evening light and a ton of leaves on the ground (also the perfect distraction and "toy" for little ones).... and this is what you get!!  I hope you like the very brief sneak peek, mom and dad...I can't wait to share your whole gallery at tonight's Session Premiere!

Katelyn's Senior Session - Northville High School {Metro Detroit, Livonia, Northville, Novi Senior Portrait Photographer}

How do I get so lucky to photograph such beautiful and sweet senior girls?  We held Katelyn's session at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor a few weeks ago.  As you can see, Katelyn was a natural in front of the camera .... and so much fun to photograph!  I had such a great time with you and your mom Katelyn, and I hope you love the images as much as I do.  Best of luck with the rest of your senior year!  Keep me posted on what you hear from the University of Michigan!!
