I'm in a kind of dreamy, contemplative mood today.  So, what better time than to share one of my favorite recent images of my daughter, Sophie.  Now, I know I'm completely biased and have my mom-glasses on, but I'm pretty much in love with this photograph.  In a way, it reminds me of a photo I took of Sophie around her first birthday, right when I was starting my photography portfolio about two years ago.  Oh, how she's grown!  Isn't there something wonderful about these parallel images?  Sophie (quietly) watching the water move by....

I think this might be one of my favorite images from the session...and believe me, mom and I worked hard to get this!

G Family Sneak Peek! {Plymouth, MI and Northville, MI Family and Children's Portrait Photographer}

So excited to share these images!  Two beautiful little girls - one very energetic and independent toddler and one absolutely beautiful 5-month old baby - and a very sweet and loving family.  Big sister K definitely gave me a run for my  money, but I think we were able to work through it - lucky for me she loves trains, and I just happened to have some Thomas and Friends stickers with me! (Oh, and Thomas happened to be hiding in my camera too...)  Hope you enjoy the preview mom and dad!  There are many more to come...

I'm kind of loving the sunset haziness of this image, the closeness with mom, and Thomas in tow.

Baby's First Year Plan!

I'm super-excited to announce that I've finally updated my Baby's First Year plan.  See the images and text from my new brochure below.  Basically, the Baby's First Year plan includes sessions at the newborn, six month (sitting), and one year stage to capture three different phases of your child's first year.  An optional maternity session may be added for $100.  At the end of the year, you will receive a stunning 24x24 canvas gallery wrap with your favorite image from each session and your child's name.  The Baby's First Year plan is priced at $550, which represents a 20% savings off of the session and gallery wrap investment.

W Family Sneak Peek! {Northville, MI Family Photographer, Lifestyle Photographer}

I had the pleasure of photographing the W family in their home, just over a week ago, and I'm excited to share a sneak peek.  This session was so laid back and fun - mom and dad played with little C, shared a family story time on the living room couch, and took a quick trip to the backyard to brave the chilly weather.  C even showed me her precious nursery how she can stand in her crib.  Soon she'll be walking! One of my favorite things about this session is how natural everything is - C was completely in her own element and the images provide a glimpse into the family's life at this stage.  I absolutely love being able to document a family's lifestyle!  I hope you enjoy the peek!

Class of 2011! {Toledo, OH, Northville, MI Senior portrait photographer}

I'm so excited to share these photos...  Meg is a senior at Otsego High School in Ohio and is looking forward to moving to Chicago after she graduates.  She was such a natural in front of the camera - it really made my job easy!  Meg, I hope you enjoy the brief preview -- I can't wait to share more photos with you soon.  And, have a great senior year!
