H Family Sneak Peek! {Northville, MI family and children's portrait photographer}

Talk about a sweet and adorable family!  The "H" family persevered through a rather yucky morning - weather-wise.  But, they definitely didn't let the rain dampen their spirits.  Just look at how much this family loves each other!...

Another family sneak peek -- it's been a very busy fall, so far!!  This family was lots of fun to photograph last weekend.  The boys definitely had lots of energy, and I'm fairly certain that I came off as pretty clueless...  I had to be instructed that Stormtroopers are in fact the soldiers in Star Wars.  Obviously, it's been a while since I watched a Star Wars movie...  But, thank you boys for my Star Wars instruction.  I'm sure you will look great in your Darth Vader and Stormtrooper Halloween costumes!

I Heart Faces: In the Orchard {South Lyon, MI Children's and Family Portrait Photographer}

I was so excited to see that this week's theme for the I Heart Faces challenge is "In the Orchard."  Nevermind that I just posted a bunch of my favorite apple orchard images on Saturday!  I took Sophie's 3 year pictures in the apple orchard this year.  There was no stopping her from biting right into a freshly picked apple....

In the midst of this busy fall season, I put together two distinct photo "sessions" with my own children to document Sophie's 3rd birthday and Graham's 6 month "birthday" in September.  For Sophie, I envisioned a fun session in the apple orchard while we picked and plucked apples from the trees.  Surprisingly, she wasn't that interested in picking apples, more just in eating the apples....and the promise of cider and doughnuts after we were done.  For Graham I did a session with abandoned train tracks complete with an engine and old luggage.  Lucky for me, he was the perfect 6-month old model -- smiley and sitting relatively still!  Here's a peek at these two sessions.

Another Sneak Peek! {Northville, MI and Novi, MI Family, Children Portrait Photographer}

I had the pleasure of photographing this family last Saturday.  We were surprised to see that the grounds to Mill Race Village were closed for a private wedding ceremony (what a surprise at 9:30 am on a Saturday morning)!  But, this family was so flexible, as we walked around the area looking for good portrait locations.  Thanks for being so accommodating and patient!  I hope you enjoy the preview, mom and dad.

Sneak Peek {Northville Family, Baby Photographer}

Sorry, this sneak peek is a little late in coming, but I'm so excited to share a few of the images from this session.  The very first time I photographed this family, H was three months old.  Now his little sister, L, is the same age.  We started off with some family photos and then did some images just of L.  Doesn't she have the most beautiful blue eyes!  Thanks, again, for another wonderful session!!
